How to Measure Your Head for the Perfect Hat Fit
Finding the correct hat size is simple and ensures your hat will be both comfortable and secure.
Using a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string that can be measured with a ruler), wrap it around your head approximately 1/8 inch above your ears and across the center of your forehead—the exact place where your hat will rest.
Hold the tape snugly, but not tightly.
Measure where your hat will naturally sit, not higher or lower on your head.
If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the next larger size.
For the most accurate fit, I recommend measuring three times and using the largest consistent measurement.

Hat Size Reducers: Every hat includes complimentary size reducers to help achieve a custom fit. Place the reducer at the back of the hat, between the sweatband and the crown. I recommend trying your hat on first before removing the adhesive backing. If necessary, simply trim the reducer to the desired length.
Removing Lint: A soft baby hairbrush is perfect for gently removing lint from wool hats. Avoid stiff-bristle brushes, as they may damage the felt. Packing tape also works well—simply dab the surface gently rather than rubbing.
Removing Dust: Use canned air or a hair dryer on the cool or low setting to gently blow dust from your hat and feathers.
Reducing Static: If the feathers develop static, lightly brush them with a dryer sheet to restore their natural softness.
Wrinkled Tulle: If the tulle becomes wrinkled during shipping, hang your hat in the bathroom while running a warm bath or shower. The gentle steam will allow the wrinkles to relax naturally. Never iron tulle, as heat can melt or damage the delicate nylon.
Storage: If your bows are supported with tissue paper during shipping, remove the tissue before wearing your hat. When storing your hat, replace the tissue to help preserve its beautiful shape.
