The Titanic era
(1912) was not only a time for building huge ships, it was also
a time for extravagant hats! This page is the home of some of my
more extravagant designs; the ones worn by motion picture
starlets and Edwardian postcard models. It was believed that
bigger was better!

Miss China Doll is completely hand made by Darna. I made the hat
frame from buckram and the edge of the brim is wired so you can
shape it the way you like; it's 22 inches in diameter. Miss
China Doll is covered with china silk brocade. The edge of the
hat is accented with China silk charmeuse and black velvet
ribbon. The bow is also silk charmeuse and it's accented with a
large vintage rhinestone brooch. Gorgeous ostrich feathers sweep
across the front. The vintage veil netting is from France, and
is 100% silk with silk chenilles. You'll look absolutely
stunning wearing this hat at your next event or tea party! The
hat in the old photo below is my inspiration for this design.

"Rose Cavalier" is designed over a black sinimay or sinamay
Base. A gorgeous ivory rose, ivory velvet leaves and blue
hydrangea accent this hat. And it's set of with a perfect
backdrop royal blue silk as the bow and the hat band. Two
beautiful ostrich feathers wrap around the crown and cascades
over the brim of the hat. This is an Edwardian Hat Style perfect
for church, wedding, Easter, Somewhere in Time weekend event,
Kentucky Derby or even a Titanic remembered event.

"Run for the Rose Crystal Fairy" is a gorgeous wide brimmed
crystal organza base; it has an iridescent, but subtle sparkle
in the sunshine. Beautiful organza roses; one full rose and two
buds are accented with red organza ribbon and embroidered red
organza lace accented with sequins and pearls as a rosette and
also as the band around the crown of the hat. A luxurious red
ostrich feather hand dyed and imported from Spain sweeps across
the front and then cascades over the edge of the brim. This hat

It's adorned with a gorgeous pink silk shot with blue silk bow

This lace shawl is Perfect for Titanic event, Civil War
re-enactment, Victorian or Edwardian Tea Party, Proms, or just
about any place you'd like to wear it. Beautiful machine lace
shawl with fringe on two sides and it measures 60" across the
top and 40" from the top center to the point.
This type of lace is also known as tape lace. This beautiful fan
is available in 9 colors of lace. The fans are accented on the
bottom with a satin tassel. When opened the Black fan measures
approximately 19 1/2" wide and 11" tall. The ribs on the fan are
bamboo. Perfect for tea parties, Somewhere in Time Events,
Titanic Remembered, Civil War Reenactors, SASS or just to fan

opens her eyes to the real world. This movie is beautiful in
every way: costuming, setting and story and yes, of course, we
all know the ending, but the story is worth it!

This another in my "ROYALE Edwardian Hats" collection. This hat
is designed very true to the era. The brim of the hat is
completely covered with tiny delicate dyed purple feathers.
Gorgeous purple coque feathers wrap around the crown of the hat
and is then accented by a large opened face purple satin rose
accented with purple velvet leaves. I have added close-ups of
the different feathers to give you an idea of true texture. A

"Lady Amherst" is designed over a black wool base. This is the
first in my "ROYALE Edwardian Hats" collection. This hat is
designed very true to the era. The brim of the hat is completely
covered with tiny delicate Iridescent Lady Amherst feathers.
Black silk wraps around the crown of the hat and is accented by
3 gorgeous black silk and organza roses. Iridescent Rooster
Coque Tails sweep across the brim and over the crown...this hat
is one of the most beautiful hats I've ever designed, however,
it's very difficult to get a good photo of it...I have added
close-ups of the different feathers to give you an idea of true
color. VERY, VERY ELEGANT!

The hat pictured has been totally covered with vintage satin.
It's 22 inches in diameter. The creamy white satin on the top of
the brim is from an old wedding dress and the gorgeous gold
satin on the crown and the underside of the brim is vintage too.
This hat is 90% sewn by hand. It measures 22 inches across
including the lace edge. The green taffeta bow is also vintage
fabric; it has a design with tiny gold threads and diamond
shapes on it. The hat is accented with creamy lace with gold
threads. There's lots of hydrangea, as well as gorgeous creamy
light pink roses and 3 darling little song birds. This hat is
designed for the Gibson Girl hairstyle, but looks lovely with
any hairstyle. It needs to be anchored with a hatpin, so I will
include one of my very "sturdy" hat pins in a color that will
compliment your hat.

"Lady My Sweet Lady" is designed over a gorgeous taupe wool wide
brimmed hat base 16 inches wide. The ornamentation is taupe
satin and light golden organza accented with a beaded applique.
Two absolutely beautiful full ostrich feathers hand dyed and
imported from Spain swirl gracefully around the crown. Very
elegant and perfect for church, wedding or tea party. Would be
very special for a Somewhere in Time event!
